On behalf of the entire parish family of St. Joseph Catholic Church, I welcome you to our home on the web. St. Joseph Parish has a rich history in the Bay City community. Established in 1850, we are the oldest Catholic Church in the Saginaw Valley and our roots run deep. From the original French and French-speaking Canadian settlers of the 1850’s, along with a strong Italian influence in later years, St. Joseph parish now ministers to a diverse membership. Being a downtown church, it continues to be an important influence in the Bay City community, a community which retains a hometown atmosphere and revitalizes itself with each generation. With our long history we are very aware that men and women who were once part of our community or have parents and grandparents who were members of St. Joseph parish, do not want to lose that strong connection and continue to claim St. Joseph as “their home” even though they moved on in life. If you consider joining us, we hope that you, too, will feel such powerful connections as these. Thank you for journeying with us on the web. You are invited and welcome to come and be with us in person.
